What To Expect

Welcome to CLCF! We’re so glad you are considering joining us. We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you gather with us.

Beginning with prayer, we thank God for bringing us together and we invite him into our presence. We sing our praises to God together and lift our hearts in worship. We also will take time to share our blessings and struggles with each other and lift those in prayer.

During our meetings, we don’t watch a few people perform. Rather, we encourage everyone to participate as we worship Jesus and build up one another. We don’t just want you to hear about the Word of God – we want you to understand it! We encourage you to ask questions or share insights you may have into a particular lesson or Bible verse.

At CLCF, families worship and learn about God together. Our children join us in worshiping God and learning about the Bible. We encourage them to ask questions during the lessons, too! Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” (Mark 10:14-15) We consider it a privilege to teach and learn from our children.

Finally, we close with a time of prayer, asking God’s blessings over one another and our upcoming week.

Before we part, we also usually enjoy a time of fellowship in the form of Sunday dinner. This is our time for connecting and learning about each other’s lives. We want to know you and your family, what makes you happy or sad, or how God is working in your life!
